| Liebherr has launched its 1500 series (models HCB 1560 and HC 1540), the company’s first fully integrated 30-in. single door refrigerator-freezer combination. Ideal for condo or apartment living, the HC 1540 model does not require a water connection for the IceMaker, which incorporates a removable 1.5-liter internal water tank for replenishing water used to produce ice cubes. The HCB 1560 offers BioFresh technology in separate compartments, where temperatures are kept just above freezing and humidity levels are optimized for preserving fruits, vegetables, fish and meats. Both the HCB 1560 and HC 1540 can be concealed behind cabinetry and also offer the possibility of custom design with flush 24-in. deep cabinet installation. The HCB 1560 retails for $5,479 and the HC 1540 for $4,869.
